Crypto Whales Transfer Hundreds Of Millions To Exchanges
Crypto whales have suddenly come to life in the last 24 hours, with massive amounts of coins being sent to exchanges as markets start to show signs of possible weakness. Blockchain monitoring service Whale Alert has spotted numerous large entities sending a variety of digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and USDC stablecoins, to various crypto exchanges.
Transfers To Coinbase
Whale alert has detected two transfers of Ethereum worth over $40 million from unknown wallets to Coinbase, followed by another transfer worth $28 million in ETH to Gate.io. Additionally, an unknown wallet sent 1,865 BTC worth $56 million to Coinbase just as BTC was losing the $30,000 mark.
Transfer Of 500k LTC To Binance
Just ahead of its halving event, a Litecoin whale was spotted sending 500,000 LTC worth $46 million to Binance – the largest crypto exchange in the world – at this same time. Two large transfers were also seen from USDC Treasury where Circle’s stablecoins are minted directly into Coinbase; 53,979,170 USDC ($53m) and 75m USDC ($75m).
Smaller Transfers
Other smaller transfers have been seen during this same period too; including a transfer of Polygon (MATIC) worth $7.4 million from an unknown crypto wallet to Binance and a transfer of 1Inch (1INCH) valued at $12.3 million sent to OKX Exchange.
